Following the outstanding success of her highly anticipated second album ‘Beautiful Collision’, Brent Eccles Entertainment is thrilled to announce an extensive Bic Runga nationwide tour for December 2002.

This will be Bic’s first New Zealand tour in over four years and is part of the ‘Beautiful Collision’ worldwide tour that includes Australia, America, Asia and Europe.

‘Beautiful Collision’ debuted at Number 1 in the album charts, went platinum within a week and has now surpassed double platinum sales. The first single ‘Get Some Sleep’ broke NZ radio records by becoming the most played song ever and the second single ‘Something Good’ is at radio now and set to become another massive hit.

Bic’s touring band will comprise of Bic herself (vocals, guitars, piano, drums etc), Milan Borich (drums and vocals) and Tim Arnold (guitar and vocals) from Pluto, Ben King (bass and vocals) from Goldenhorse, and from the USA, Atlantic Records recording artist David Garza (guitar). And, for the first time ever in NZ, Bic will be joined on stage during her set by her sister, Boh Runga from Stellar*.

We are also pleased to announce that Australian legend Paul Kelly will open for Bic on the NZ tour.

Bic states in her biography "I have faith in my own ability as a songwriter and a musician. I worked harder than I can describe on this album. Time was not an issue. I worked with twelve different engineers, most of whom are still speaking to me."

The uniquely gifted musician then explains where some of her ideas sprout from "I get my kicks from other things. Inspiration comes from weather, the sky, clouds, a beautiful piece of fabric, a texture, the way light will catch someone’s face and make them look different for a second."
