-22 March, 2006: Bic will be performing at the V Festival, Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday, 19 August, 2006, and Sunday, 20 August, 2006. See Appearances. Also, the dates for the upcoming UK / Ireland tour in May / June are on the Appearances page.

-20 March, 2006: MAX TV in Australia has an interview with Bic, and review of BIRDS on their website.

-6 March, 2006: Bic's new UK website is open.

-5 March, 2006: I Like Music.com had an interview with Bic, "BIRDS / Say After Me" in advance of the UK release of BIRDS; Australia's The Sunday Mail did an interview "Kiwi's a bird of paradise", where Bic reflects on how she got into music, and her relationship with Neil Finn; and the Sydney Morning Herald's article, "Big voice in a small world" talks about being a big fish in a small world, and the making of BIRDS. Plus there is a link to SonyBMG Australia, with an interview with Bic. Plus some new photo's by Darryl Ward for the BIRDS release.

-27 February, 2006: Boh recently performed at the Auckland Zoo 'ZooMusic' concert series. Photo's from her performance can be found here, thanks to Graham Meadows Photo Library and Auckland Zoo.

-18 February, 2006: Posters for the Sydney and Melbourne BIRDS launch concerts in March 2006 can be found here.

-17 February, 2006: Bic features in the latest issue of Time Magazine (South Pacific Edition), in an article titled "On Darker Wings Of Song". A copy of this article can be found here. Also, details of the BIRDS Australian Tour Edition, to be released 6 March, 2006, and the official BIRDS Australian release on 13 March, 2006.

-3 February, 2006: Tour dates for Australia are announced, and the national tour of New Zealand featuring the studio band in March / April are released. See Appearances page. Plus the tour poster for the NZ BIRDS national concert.

-31 January, 2006: Bic is playing one show at Dingwalls on 28th February. She will be joined by Boxcar Benny Maitland on guitar and Neil Finn on piano,
playing songs from all her records including selections from the new album "Birds". See 'Appearances' for details.

-16 January, 2006: Boh Runga will be performing material from Stellar's upcoming album at the Auckland Zoo, as part of their 'ZooMusic' series, on 21 January, 2006.

-11 January, 2006: Release date for BIRDS in the UK has been announced as 3 April, 2006; Australian release date is 13 March, 2006. which will be accompanied by a series of live concerts, accompanied by Bic's studio band for BIRDS. The will be a nationwide tour of New Zealand in April, 2006, at venues ranging from concert halls, vineyards, and churches. Bic will be accompanied by her studio band.

-31 December, 2005: Bic awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2006 New Years Honours List. Also, an interview by NZ Heralds' Rebecca Barry, as Bic's third album, BIRDS, is awarded Timeout Magazine Album of the Year.

-20 December, 2005: An interview with Campbell Smith (Bic's manager) and wife Boh, at their home in Auckland, that featured in the Sunday Star-Times. Includes a candid photo.

-25 November, 2005:  An interview with Bic, 'Bic Runga's new album set to soar' has been published at www.stuff.co.nz. And a new page, 'BIRDS Interviews', where a summary of all Bic's interviews around the launch of BIRDS in New Zealand has been added. Plus the details of the concerts being held for the album launch.

-20 November, 2005: Album details for the new album, 'Birds', due for release 28 November, 2005, have been added on the 'Birds' album page. A review by Grant Smithies from the Sunday Start Times, 'Wings of Desire' gave the album a four star rating. A 'Birds Reviews' page has been added, which will list all the reviews of the Birds album. Details of the 'Winning Arrow' promotional single, released to radio during October, 2005.

-3 November, 2005: Details of the 'Winning Arrow' cd single are available. Plus news of a Limited Edition 10" vinyl single. And the lyrics to 'Winning Arrow', a fan's interpretation.

-1 November, 2005: CRS Management, Bic's management company, changed their logo. The site has been updated to show the new logo. Thanks to Jessie for letting us know.

-17 October, 2005: The New Zealand launch will be celebrated with a live concert to be held at the Civic Theatre, Auckland on 28 November, 2005. See the BIRDS Launch page for more details, and the Appearances page. A copy of the concert poster appears on the Concert Posters page.

-12 October, 2005: More details on the upcoming album, 'Bird's' are becoming available, and have been summarised on our 'About Birds' page. Plus the Warner Chappell page has been updated with all songs Bic has registered as copyright / control owner. PLUS the lyrics to 'Winning Arrow' at the 'About Birds' page.

-1 October, 2005: 'Up with the Birds' article from NZ Herald, published Saturday, 1 October, 2005, describes the making of the new album, due for release 28 November, 2005, and the launch day concert.

-29 September, 2005: New single, 'Winning Arrow' released to radio in New Zealand. It is due to be released to the shops 3 October, 2005.

-10 February, 2005: bicRungadotnet wishes to pass sincere condolences to Bic, Pearl & Boh, and their mother Sophia, on their recent bereavement. Joseph Runga, Bic's father, passed away this week. Bic will be delayed in joining the Finn Brothers World Tour.

-2 February, 2005: Bic to join the Finn Brothers in the US, UK / Eurpean World Tour during February / March / April; dates on the Appearances page.

-15 October, 2004: Back after a short break, with loads of content to add. An interview with Bic at BBC Norfolk on 25 August, 2004. The Sunday Mail in Glasgow featured an interview "Radiohead inspired me" in June 2004. Plus an interesting "Fast Facts" interview with Bic by the BBC Essex, that gives a few bits on Bic's likes & dislikes. Plus, the BBC Norwich did a review of Bic's gig at the Norwich Arts Centre in June.

-30 July, 2004: Bic's album "Beautiful Collision" reaches 100 weeks in the NZ charts.

-9 July, 2004: It's photo day, with pictures from Bic's recent UK tour. All photo's used with permission. Alexandra Bone over at flAsh HOUND did a series from the Norwich gig, a couple of which can be viewed here; An excellent photo (Bic in motion) of the Shepherds Bush concert from Matt Sephton ; and some more photo's from Chris_Wales of the Union Chapel, London concert in September, 2003.

-02 June, 2004: "Something Good" european single is due for release 21 June, 2004 in the UK, and the promo for "Something Good" is in circulation. There is also a UK DJ acetate cd version of Something Good in circulation. Catching up, the UK "Get Some Sleep" promotional CD; the European release of "Get Some Sleep"; the UK CD Single release of "Get Some Sleep; and the later CD Maxi release of "Get Some Sleep". Plus a list of appearances coming up in Ireland, including the Oxegen Festival 2004.

-18 May, 2004:  The Daily News in New Plymouth has an interview with Bic prior to her NP concert (thanks Trevor); and Thread website has a review of the Wellington gig by Gill England.

-7 May, 2004: A review of the Invercargill concert from the Otago Daily Times; a review of one of the Christchurch gigs from The Press; and the St Johns in the City Wellington review by the Dominion Post. Also details of the gigs in Ireland - June & September 2004.

-23 April, 2004: An article / interview by the Dominion Post's Robyn McLean, "Worshipping at the altar of Bic" as part of Bic's Acoustic Church Tour.

-21 April, 2004: With the Acoustic Church Tour kicking off, the tour details and reviews page has been set up, starting with a review of the Tauranga gig (20 April). Thanks to Ben! The Bay of Plenty Times' also had a good review. And a link to Reveal Records in the UK, stockists of all Bic's music.

-14 April, 2004: From Public Address, there are some excellent photo's of Bic's media gig and commentary from Damian Christie in his "Cracker" column (See a copy of Damien's article here. -8 April, 2004: Details of the Media Concert held in Auckland on the 6th April, 2004, more details on the gig, including the setlist and review; a review of the media concert by the NZ Herald; and a TV One News review of the media concert at NZoom.com. -2 April, 2004: A new album pack, "Tour Edition Double Pack" has been released this week, to coincide with the upcoming tour of New Zealand. March also saw the release of the "Get Some Sleep" European Edition, with new artwork, and the UK Beautiful Collision-Repackaged-Special Edition released in the UK 22 March, 2004. Plus the Beautiful Collision UK / Euro edition, released 15 March, 2004.

-26 March, 2004: A copy of the Tour Poster for the upcoming Acoustic Tour of New Zealand. Auckland's CitiMix Magazine features an article on Bic's upcoming Acoustic Church Tour. Plus the Irish Independent's Night & Day magazine features an interview, "Songbird".

-4 March, 2004: Photos from Bic recent appearance at Tower Records in Dublin Ireland appeared on ShowBiz Ireland news.

-1 March, 2004: A couple of new articles from Bic's interviews in the UK: Times Online features an interview with Bic, "Just whistle a happy tune", and the Independant UK's interview, "Bic's Romantic Vision". -31 January, 2003: An interview with Bic in the December 2002 - January 2003 issue of Toronto's Access Magazine, and Entertainment / Lifestyle magazine. -14 January, 2003: A new compilation album, "Hypnotic", released in the US in 2002 by the Collegiate Accapela recordings.

-10 January, 2003: Two new appearances in Toronto, Canada on January 27 & 28, 2003.

-9 January, 2003: A new picture from "Women Who Rock" magazine. Times for Bic's appearances at the Sundance Film Festival Music Cafe. Plus an interview by Bic with YouThink Magazine, a student mag in Canada. And LA's Campus Circle has an interview with Bic talking about making records, Boh, and the future. The guitar tabs to "When I See You Smile" have been added; Pitt News has a review in December 2002 of Beautiful Collision.

-6 January 2003: Some photo's from the Invercargill 2002 concert taken by Stevo. Plus Bic featured at No. 14 in the NZ Heralds top albums of 2002.

-16 December, 2002: Auckland's NZ Herald had an article "On tour with Bic Runga" that covers interviews and commentaries with Bic, Boh, and Campbell Smith (Bic's manager); Sunday Star Times had a review of Bic's performance at the Christchurch Town Hall.

-14 December, 2002: Paul Kelly comments on what it's like to be Bic's support artist, a reversal from a few years ago, in the Nelson Mail; The final issue of Pulse Magazine from Tower Records in the US featured an interview with Bic.

-13 December, 2003: Bic is to perform with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in their "Jade Series Performances, in a segment titled "Counting the Days", performing orchestral arrangements of her own songs and those of some of her favourite artists. And a piece of history for Bic from 1996. And a photo of Bic with fashion designer Andrea Moore at L'Oreal Fashion Week 2002.

-9 December, 2002: An interview in the Southland Times by Bic, leading into her 2002 NZ Tour.

-5 December, 2002: Leading into her NZ tour in December, Bic has an interview with her hometown newspaper, The Press, where she talks about touring, the album, and bringing her music home. Also, Bic announces in an interview that she will be performing at the Sundance Music Festival in Utah in January 2003. And "Get Some Sleep" is included on the new "Now That's What I Call Music Volume 11" compilation album.

-2 December, 2002: "Get Some Sleep" has been included on the sampler CD included with the Philips eXpanium MP3 Player released this month. XtraMSN's Gary Taylor did an email interview with Bic, where Bic reveals her likes and dislikes.

-1 December, 2002: A review of Beautiful Collision from The Daily Nebraskan, and one from The Daily Texan. Plus the Daily Cougar has a good review. Rumba Auckland 2002 happened 30 November, and some photo's of Bic's performance (and sister Boh's band, Stellar*'s performance) are here.

-28 November, 2002: An NZPA release from Stuff Entertainment (NZ) "Down to earth Runga contemplates beautiful collision" where Bic describes the recent tour, making Beautiful Collision, and plans for the new record. Plus a quote from A.J.Mac (Stellar*) on the subject of remixes on the Webitorial page.

-27 November, 2002: Location stills from the shooting of the video "Something Good" can be found at the production house web site; also a link to view the video for "Something Good".

-25 November, 2002: An inciteful interview on the OurBrisbane.com website, Intimate Intentions that is worth checking out. The Brisbane News has a good interview "Sweet Nothings" that reveals a few things about Bic and what motivates her.

-18 November, 2002: An interesting interview by Sheila Pham on the ShakenStir UK web site. And a review of "Beautiful Collision" on FM Sound website by a first time Bic listener.

-13 November, 2002: US Advance release CD for Beautiful Collision album launch, released to retail and radio only. Matchbooks distributed during the US West Coast tour during October / November, 2002 can be seen on the Publicity Pics page.

-1 November, 2002: The Santa Barbara concert was cancelled; Campbell Smith posted a message on the messageboard @ www.bicrunga.com explaining.

-30 October, 2002: "Beautiful Collision" US edition details for November 9 release. And a promotional postcard for the US launch of "Beautiful Collision". -28 October, 2002: The Australian gig dates for late November have been announced, plus news of a possible suprise appearnce by Neil Finn at Cafe Largo on 6 November, 2002; all this from Bic's fan club manager, Peter Green on the BicRunga.com messageboard. -25 October, 2002: Review of Cafe Du Nord, San Francisco appearance on 17 October, 2002.

-23 October, 2002: The single "Something Good" was at number 46 on the NZ Music charts in the week it was released.

-20 October, 2002: Cleaning up the archives, a "Drive US Promo" cd added to the promotional cd catalogue, and the "Drive US Release" cd. Plus an old compilation from 1998, TuneUp 30 in the compilations section. And the press release pictures for the Australian release of "Drive" in 1997. Some new dates in July 1998 for Bic's supporting role with Neil Finn's "Try Whistling This" tour. An "All Music Guide" review of Drive in 1998. An update in "About the Songs" from Bic on the origin's of the song "Sway". And the Paul Kelly (who will be touring with Bic in December) album, "Women at the Well", which features one of Bic's tracks.

-11 October, 2002: NZ Musician Magazine featured an interview with Bic in their August / September issue.

-10 October, 2002: An interview with Bic by Go Asia Pacific, part of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. And a review of the Cafe Du Nord, San Francisco show last night.

-8 October, 2002: A photo of Bic at the press conference announcing the NZ Tour 2002. Bic was guest drummer on Alan Gregg (ex Muttonbird's) new album, Marshmallow.

-7 October, 2002: Natures Best Volume 2 is released, featuring tracks 31 to 60 of the APRA NZ Top 100; also added Natures Best Volume 1. Also, the press release for the NZ Tour 2002. -9 September, 2002: Beautiful Collision breaks the NZ radio play records within weeks of being released. Plus a Juice magazine sampler track listing, a link to Bic's page at Sony Music Australia , and an old review from 1998 in City Beat, Cinncinatti magazine. NZ Girl had a review of "Get Some Sleep" and "Beautiful Collision" that are worth reading. Undercover Media has an article in July about Neil Finn helping out on "Beautiful Collision".
