January 2002 Wellington Concert

The preview of new album material

Venue:    Bar Bodgea, Wellington, N.Z.

Dates:        Friday, 11 January, 2002

                 Saturday, 12 January, 2002

Playlist:

Wellington Show 1

Bic was fantastic as always, and the band did an immaculate job of backing her.
A few sound problems meant it was too loud at some points for the venue. Otherwise it was a very intimate performance. There were a few stuff ups and Bic told us she could be "quite an amateur sometimes".

-    Drive

-    The Be All and End All

-    When I See You Smile

-    Gracie

(band enters sans drummer)

-    Get Some Sleep

(drummer appears)

-    She Left on a Monday

-    Listening for the Weather (Bic plays harmonica and rhodes)

-    Election Night

-    Suddenly Strange

-    Something Good

-    Four Strong Winds

-    Sway

I'd forgotten how beautiful Drive was live - it sent a shiver through me!

The new songs are great, glad I've finally heard some of them. She Left on a Monday sounds so much better with a band than it did acoustically. Get Some Sleep is cool...wonder how the studio version will sound.

During the tour, Bic also played a number of other "cover" songs, with her interpretation:
