NZ Pavement Magazine

October / November 2001

This bi-monthly New Zealand magazine is generally a more alternative read, usually featuring lots of up and coming NZ artists - musical, dramatic - and has articles which are not only a great read but usually very topical.

This issue has a 2 page article about the concerns surrounding Genetic Engineering and the protests of Alannah Currie, who got NZ celebrities to put their concerns on t-shirts and publicize it. Lucy was among those who put up their hand in an effort to voice their concerns over this very topical issue. Her t-shirt reads 1+1=3 stop genetic engineering now.

The article itself goes into how and why Alannah thought of and saw her efforts through with this unique awareness raising campaign.
