Review of the Finn-Runga-Dobbyn- Together In Concert: Live album from the Fire Engine NZ site.

This album is fabulous! Three fantastic New Zealand artists that have made a huge impact on local music together on one live album.

Tim Finn, Bic Runga, and Dave Dobbyn are incomparable and this live album is definite proof of that. Following their superb national tour in September, Together in Concert, comes this album which shines through as what will be one of the most memorable New Zealand albums of all time.

The three amazing musicians feature on this album singing each of their greatest hits, including Finn’s Six Months In a Leaky Boat, Dobbyn’s Whaling, and Runga’s Drive.

An album full of compassion and genius, this trio proves their vocal ability and delivery as they sing with just as much soul and talent live as they do after a hard slog in the recording studio.

These three great artists are ones to be proud of as they strut their unique Kiwi style that has helped put New Zealand music on the globe once and for all.

Review of Drive by Alicia St. Rose

"One might argue that it (Drive) is a bit over-saturated with despair and gloominess, but that is not a criteria I use to judge great music. And if you think Runga is some kind of pessimistic, despondent waif sitting around waiting for the phone to ring, then pop the disc into your CD-ROM drive and check out her 10-minute interview. She's simply ebullient."

Aussie Sounds In London From Vincent Lovegrove

Review by: Vincent Lovegrove

"There's a slight tinge of Alanis and Sheryl about the tiny, absolutely gorgeous hit maker, but she's sexier, spunkier, and her music's a whole lot wilder."

All Music Guide Review of "Drive"

"Even on the stirring "Hey" and "Swim," where she erupts from Beth Orton sweetness to Alanis Morissette-like angst, the raw production keeps the songs' electronic atmospherics both dynamic and stark. While failed romances are her lyrical staple, Runga foregoes cliches."
