"There's little that can be said that hasn't already been said about the talent of Bic Runga, an undisputed angel of light, thrust into the media spotlight when she'd probably rather just carry on quietly writing absolutely pure, superlative pop songs and then getting on with normal things. Unfortunately, with a rare talent this huge that has pervaded every New Zealand home at some point over the last 2-3 years, that's not really going to happen. This Goddess has a special magic that is enough to move even a man to tears. Drive is worth a thousand Whitneys or Shanias, and further more, is completely in a league of her own. Bic's crossover success and some beautiful videos has left a permanent mark on our cultural landscape, and playing alongside Dave Dobbyn and Tim Finn whilst only being in the game a short time shows the calibre of this exceptionally talented singer / songwriter.
